Unfortunately, we are not giving tours at this time. The EAA has a program called Young Eagles for children 8 -18 years old on the second Saturday of each month that you may be interested in. Their number is 634-7575.

Is the B17 still there? My mother worked on these during the war and I’ve always wanted to see one close up. Any suggestions?

All the racers got airborne at or shortly after 08:00 Tuesday June 23rd. The flight plans they filed shows their destination on the 23rd: There are 32 racers. Two had to scratch.

4 at SSW (Sweetwater, TX)
18 at LFK (Lufkin, TX)
10 at RUE (Russellville, AR)

A few racers may push on further. I’ll update you all on the 24th when I have the RON lists.

We are expecting racers in Racine on Thursday June 25th anytime after 8 a.m. and up until 8:30 p.m.
We will have the rest of the racers here on Friday June 26th.

I will post some flight times later today.

Would love to know when they arrive to come over and watch, take photos, offer encouragement. Any guess when some will begin arriving? Do they just stay long enough to refuel?

The B-17 “Yankee Lady” will be in Racine Friday July 10th – Sunday July 12th and it is open the the public. Check out their website http://yankeeairmuseum.org/ or contact Dave Wright @ 437-483-4030 to make reservations.
